The Belt and Road

The "Belt and Road" runs through the continents of Asia, Europe and Africa, with an active East Asian economic circle on one end and a developed European economic circle on the other. The vast hinterland countries in the middle have huge economic development potential. The Silk Road Economic Belt focuses on unblocking China via Central Asia and Russia to Europe (Baltic Sea); China via Central Asia and West Asia to the Persian Gulf and the Mediterranean; China to Southeast Asia, South Asia and the Indian Ocean. The key direction of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road is from China's coastal ports across the South China Sea to the Indian Ocean and extending to Europe; from China's coastal ports across the South China Sea to the South Pacific.
The “Belt and Road” is a road of cooperation and win-win that promotes common development and common prosperity, and is a road of peace and friendship that enhances understanding and trust and strengthens all-round exchanges. The Chinese government proposes to uphold the concepts of peaceful cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual benefit, and mutual benefit and win-win results, to promote practical cooperation in all directions, and to create a community of interests, a community of shared future and a community of responsibility featuring political mutual trust, economic integration, and cultural tolerance.
The construction of the “Belt and Road” is the grand economic vision of the countries along the route to open up and cooperate. It requires all countries to work together towards the goal of mutual benefit and common security. Strive to achieve a more complete regional infrastructure, a safe and efficient land, sea and air passage network, and a new level of interconnection; the level of investment and trade facilitation has been further improved, a network of high-standard free trade zones has been basically formed, economic ties have become closer, and political mutual trust has become deeper; People-to-people exchanges have become more extensive and in-depth, different civilizations learn from each other for common prosperity, and peoples of all countries know each other, peace and friendship.
